Web Design Drives Me Nuts
Introduction
There are three and a half main ways to create a website, write the code yourself, let software write it for you or ring a professional designer (or the kid next door, he’s the half).
Letting someone else do it for you is without a doubt the easiest, and the 13 year old kid next door will be a lot cheaper then the professional albeit a little crude maybe, but then you wouldn’t need this book would you. If you do wish to pay someone else, why are you reading a book on web design. Letting something else write the code would mean painting your site using software, letting the software generate the code by means of local software on your computer or Internet based applications. If this is your choice you should be reading a guide on how to use the software correctly, one of those 100 page manuals on every little button, menu item and crazy little task that the all singing and all dancing piece of software can do, again no point reading further.
But...
If you wish to write a website yourself, and I mean the manual way, the correct way, look no further as I attempt to astound you with what is lurking around inside my head, and the immensely nerve twisting, monitor smashing, frustrating world that is designing web sites.
